  • Information about your travel and experience plans and preferences
  • Communications when you contact our customer service team, including inbound and outbound calls
  • Information that you have provided to third party companies for the purposes of logging into social media platforms. This includes publicly available information, such as name, age range as well as email addresses.

We may also collect, in instances where you have provided it, information about other travelers, including their email address and other travel-related information. If you are sharing information with us about other individuals, you must obtain their consent and ensure that they have understood and accepted how we will use their personal information (as described in this Statement).

In addition to the categories noted above, we may also collect certain location information if you have instructed your Device to send such information via the privacy settings on that Device, or, for example, if you have uploaded photos tagged with location information.

How We Use Personal Data

To the extent possible, we want to provide you with relevant content and a tailored experience when you use our Services, and we use information about you to do that, including in the following ways:

How We Share and Disclose information

  • Our Group of Companies. We share information with companies in our corporate family so we can provide you with information about products and services, both travel-related and others, which might interest you.   • Experience Suppliers and travelers. We may share travelers’ personal information with suppliers of experiences to allow them to fulfil the bookings made through our Services. We may also share personal information of experience suppliers with travelers, including but not limited to where there is a dispute between the two parties.
  • Service Providers. We share information with certain service providers used to facilitate our Services, including to help with transactions.
  • Business Partners. We may share information about you, your Devices and your use of our Services with our trusted business partners. For example, we may share information so that we can facilitate payments for services you may see promoted on the websites of our partners. This sharing is generally pursuant to written agreements which include confidentiality, privacy and security obligations; please note, however, that we do not control the privacy practices of these third-party business partners.
  • Social Media Sites. When you use our Services and elect to share information with third-party social media websites, the information you share will be governed by the privacy policies of those social media websites and the privacy settings you have set with those social media websites.

  • Choose not to provide us with certain information, although it may be needed to take advantage of certain features offered on our website.
  • Prevent the collection of certain geolocation information (e.g. by switching off location services for our app in the settings of your phone), but note that turning off location sharing may affect certain features of our Services.
  • Deactivate your account directly from within your Profile. We may retain some information associated with your account (including past transactions) for internal purposes including backups, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, investigations, our own legitimate business interests, and legal compliance for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Statement.
  • As a registered user, you can modify your marketing preferences in the Notifications section of the website.
  • Unsubscribe from promotional messages, including emails with travel-related opportunities, in any such email we send.

Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not intended for children, which we consider to be: (i) individuals that are 13 years of age or under, or the age of privacy consent in your jurisdiction; or (ii) when processing data on the basis of a contract, the age of legal capacity to enter into the agreement.

We will only collect or process information belonging to children under very limited circumstances. We might need to collect personal information belonging to children as part of our Service if, for example, the personal information is required as part of an experience-related reservation. We will only collect personal information belonging to children if it is provided by and with consent of a parent or guardian. If we become aware that we have processed the personal information of a child without the valid consent of a parent or guardian, please contact us and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.

Data Retention

We keep your Personal Data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, while we have a legitimate business need to do so, or as required by law (e.g. for tax, legal, accounting or other purposes), whichever is the longer.

If you have elected to receive marketing communications from us, we retain information about your marketing preferences until you opt out of receiving these communications and in accordance with our policies.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children who are under the age of 16. AllTrails does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 16. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 16 has provided Personal Data to AllTrails through the Service, please contact us and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.

California Privacy Rights Disclosures

Collection, Disclosure, and Use of Personal Data</strong>: The categories of Personal Data we have collected in the preceding 12 months are described above in the “Information We Collect” section. In the preceding 12 months, we have disclosed for business purposes each of the categories identified in that section to the categories of third parties identified in the “How We Share and Disclose Personal Data” section. The business and commercial purposes for collecting Personal Data are described in the “How We Use Personal Data” section. We collect Personal Data directly from you and from external accounts you use to log-in to the Service.

Privacy Rights: Where provided for by law and subject to any applicable exceptions, California residents may have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA“):

  • To know the categories of Personal Data that AllTrails has collected about you, the business purpose for collecting your Personal Data, and the categories of sources from which the Personal Data was collected.
  • To access the specific pieces of Personal Data that AllTrails has collected about you.
  • To know whether AllTrails has disclosed your Personal Data for business purposes, the categories of Personal Data so disclosed, and the categories of third parties to whom we have disclosed your Personal Data
  • To have AllTrails, under certain circumstances, delete your Personal Data; and
  • To be free from discrimination related to the exercise of these CCPA rights.

AllTrails does not sell your Personal Data

If you would like to exercise any or all of these rights, you may do so by clicking “Make a Privacy Request” or contacting global@pediatravel.com. Your authorized agent may submit requests in the same manner. Once we receive your request, we will verify your identity by sending an email to the email address you provide to us.

Online Tracking and Do Not Track Signals: We and our third party service providers, including Facebook, may use cookies, pixels, or other tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activities over time and across different websites following your use of the Site and use that information to send targeted advertisements. Our Site currently does not respond to “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) signals and operates as described in this Privacy Policy whether or not a DNT signal is received. If we do respond to DNT signals in the future, we will describe how we do so in this Privacy Policy.

Scope: This section applies to users located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or the United Kingdom (“UK”).

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your Personal Data. This is a security measure to ensure that your Personal Data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month of receipt. Occasionally, it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or if you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

Pediatravel is based in the United States. Some of our vendors and service providers may also be located in the United States or another country. Whenever we transfer your Personal Data out of your country of residence, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by implementing appropriate safeguards which comply with applicable privacy laws.
